Meet The Team

CEO & Literary Agent

Hi, I’m Josi.

Josi is the owner of Beck Literary Agency, as well as USA Today Best Selling Author JL Beck.

She brings with her ten plus years of publishing experience, and three plus years of literary agency experience. She started representing herself when she couldn’t find an agent that she connected with. Through trial and error she built numerous relationships in the foreign and audio markets, as well as friendships with various authors.

After a few of her author friends convinced her to open up an agency she finally did, and thus Beck Literary Agency was born.

Josi holds an associates in business management, is a member of the American Literary Agents association, and has sold millions of dollars in book deals.

She considers herself different when compared to other agents, and doesn’t just look at her authors as a number or dollar sign but instead as a person looking to expand their career.

When she isn’t working she enjoys spending time with her two kids, husband, four dogs, and writing about unapologetic heroes.

Assistant & Jr. Agent

Hi, I’m Katie

Katie’s love for reading started at a very young age. She’s passionate about books and loves discovering new authors. One of her favorite books is Fifty Shades of Grey which jump started her love for reading once she graduated from college.

She’s interested in contemporary romance, thriller, suspense, YA/NA romance, commercial fiction, hilarious romantic comedies, later in life romance, and loves anything where the characters get a second chance at love.

She does not represent short stories, scripts, plays, or non-fiction.

Well she does enjoy reading fantasy and paranormal romance, she prefers that the romance takes center stage to the world building so if your book fits that genre and is heavy on the romance side please send the submission to her, if it’s not on the heavy romance side then she’s probably not the best agent for it.

She lives with her husband, two children, two dogs, and a cat in Wisconsin. When she isn’t reading she enjoys camping, spending time outside, and hanging out with friends and family.

She is interested in all genres of romance, but some of her favorites include: contemporary, dark, paranormal/urban fantasy and romantic suspense.

She has a high interest in representing Black/ Diverse /BIPOC characters and authors.
